Jujutsu Kaisen Complete Watch Order (2026)

The correct order to watch all of Jujutsu Kaisen including the movie, OVAs and Season 3 — with no spoilers.

Jujutsu Kaisen has become one of the most popular anime of all time, but with a movie, multiple seasons, and OVAs it can be confusing to know the correct watch order. Here is everything you need to know.

The Correct Watch Order

Watch Jujutsu Kaisen in this exact order for the best experience:

1. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 (2020)

Start here. 24 episodes that introduce Yuji Itadori, the world of cursed spirits, and the Jujutsu Tech school. Essential foundation for everything that follows.

2. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 — The Movie (2021)

This movie is a prequel set one year before Season 1. Watch it after Season 1 because you will appreciate the world-building and character references much more. The movie follows Yuta Okkotsu, who becomes extremely important later in the story.

3. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 (2023)

Two cours. The first covers the Hidden Inventory arc — a flashback to Gojo's past that completely recontextualizes everything. The second covers the Shibuya Incident — the most epic, devastating arc in the entire series. Major characters die. The animation is some of the best ever produced for TV anime.

4. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: The Culling Game (2026)

Currently airing. Set after the Shibuya Incident. Yuji, Megumi and Yuta must navigate the brutal Culling Game. Even darker and more intense than Season 2.

What About the OVAs?

The Season 1 OVA is a fun side story that can be watched after Season 1 or at any point. It adds nothing essential to the plot but features beloved characters in a lighter adventure.

Can You Skip the Movie?

Technically yes for the main story. But Yuta becomes a major character in Season 3, and his backstory in the movie makes his appearances significantly more impactful. Watch the movie.

How Long Is Everything?

- Season 1: 24 episodes (~8.5 hours) - Movie: 1 episode (1 hour 45 minutes) - Season 2: 23 episodes (~8 hours) - Season 3: Currently airing (24 episodes planned)

Total commitment: approximately 20 hours for everything released so far. Worth every minute.

Where to Watch

Jujutsu Kaisen is available on Crunchyroll in most countries. The movie may require a separate rental on Prime Video or Apple TV depending on your region. Check AniLoom for real-time streaming availability and episode release countdowns for Season 3.
